Driving Sustainability Together: Spring GDS at DELIVER Europe 2025
As the logistics and e-commerce sectors grapple with the urgency of sustainable transformation, industry leaders turn toward collaboration to amplify their impact. One standout example is Spring GDS, which is once again taking a leading role at DELIVER Europe 2025, a carbon-neutral event happening on June 4–5 in Amsterdam.
We spoke with Rutger Vonk, Spring GDS’s ESG Program Manager, about their commitment to sustainability and the power of partnership in shaping greener logistics networks.

What Spring GDS Will Showcase in Amsterdam
At this year’s DELIVER Europe event, Spring GDS will focus on three core initiatives aimed at making logistics more sustainable and accessible for clients:
- HVO100 Out the Tank Project
- Winner of the Sustainability Award at DELIVER Europe 2024, this project continues to reduce emissions in road transport by replacing traditional diesel with HVO100—a 100% renewable biodiesel alternative.
- Customer-Specific CO₂ Reports
- Spring GDS provides detailed, quarterly emissions reporting tailored to each client. These reports help customers monitor their carbon footprint and set meaningful reduction targets, moving sustainability from a general goal to a measurable, actionable practice.
- Book and Claim Model for Air Transport
- Leveraging the same tracking system used for CO₂ reports, Spring GDS now offers a Book and Claim solution that enables customers to offset air transport emissions by investing in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). This allows logistics clients to take concrete action—even when physical SAF use isn’t possible.
Collaboration: The Key to Scalable Impact
Spring GDS firmly believes that solving the climate crisis, particularly in complex global supply chains, demands cross-industry alignment. “No single company can tackle supply chain emissions alone,” Vonk emphasizes. “Logistics and e-commerce rely on many moving parts. If we want to build a sustainable system, we need every player—from shippers to carriers to tech providers—on the same page.”
This philosophy of collaboration has been a driving force behind Spring GDS’s success and recognition in the industry. After receiving the Sustainability Award in 2024, the company doubled down on its mission to create actionable solutions for clients while continuing to foster open dialogue across the supply chain.
